THE SPACE BETWEEN _COLLECTION
The Space Between brings together painted canvases and natural objects gathered on my walks along the Scottish coast and through woodlands.
Stones, branches and dried plants sit suspended in front of colour fields inspired by sunset skies. As I work, the object and painting develop in response to one another, through colour, texture, shape and shadow.
The series explores the relationship between thought and the physical world: how we shape what surrounds us, and how it shapes us in return.
